Short Loan Service

The Short Loan Service, available in the Main Library, offers a collection to assist students in accessing high-demand books from current reading lists unavailable as online e-books. The library usually has multiple print copies of each title available. One of these copies is in the short (one-day) loan collection.

Students can borrow books from the Short Loan collection for 1 day only. These books must be returned by midnight the following day. There are no fines for late returns, although this policy may be subject to review. However, students will be blocked from borrowing other items until the short loan book is returned.

Most of these titles in the Short Loan Space will also be on the ordinary borrowing shelves on levels 2 and 3.  If all copies are out on the issue, please place a hold/reservation, as this lets us know that we may need to buy extra copies.
